Thales Trusted Cyber Technologies (TCT) is pleased to announce the release of the Luna T-Series Tablet Hardware Security Module (HSM).  The small form factor and offline key storage capability set the product apart, making it ideal for protecting mission critical keys in a secure offline environment.  It is well suited for a wide variety of applications, including the strong protection of PKI root keys.  The Luna T-Series Tablet HSM delivers high assurance key protection, maintaining all key materials encrypted within the confines of the tamper-resistant hardware.

Luna T-Series HSMs benefit from a common architecture across the entire product line including Luna Network, Luna PCIe, Luna as a Service, and now Luna Tablet HSMs where the client, APIs, algorithms, and authentication methods are consistent. This eliminates the need to design applications around a specific HSM, and provides the flexibility to clone keys from HSM to HSM and from on-premises to the cloud as your needs change.

In conjunction with the new Luna T-Series Tablet HSM, Thales TCT is releasing Luna T-Series HSM version 7.13.2.  This release is built to be FIPS 140-3 compliant and is the foundation for the FIPS 140-3 approval projects underway for the Luna T-Series cryptographic modules.

Release 7.13.2 also includes the following new features:

  • Customizable NTLS port selection
  • Luna Client support for Red Hat 9 and Rocky Linux 9

This release encompasses multiple Luna HSM components:

  • Luna T-Series Network HSM appliance software
  • Luna T-Series HSM firmware
  • Luna Client

Each of these components are available as a download form the Thales TCT Support Portal.
